POLITE FORCE

Nimbin POLITE FORCE was created as a reaction to the Police Riot Squad raids on April Fools Day 2008.
One year later, there was a re-enactment on the main street of Nimbin. Cannabis consumers worldwide know that over policing is a waste of time and resources. Cannabis is safe and the NIMBIN POLITE are ambassadors of law reform.
The POLITE FORCE and BIG JOINT proved so popular on April Fools Day, Good Medicine Friday and MardiGrass they are available for hire to spread the message of Cannabis law reform politely.

NBN TELEVISION NEWS STORY

This Wednesday the streets of Nimbin will resemble a movie set more than usual and not just because FUEL TV will be in town filming. It's the anniversary of last years April Fools Day Raids and the Polite Force will be doing a re-enactment in the main street. After taking control of the town the Polite Force will then occupy the Nimbin H*E*M*P Party Bar and check all occupants for awareness of their legal rights.
"Really, we'd like a meeting with Senior Police and local Politicians inside the H*E*M*P Party Bar to discuss, openly and honestly, sensible solutions to the cannabis trade they are so irrational about. We'll keep waiting, eventually we know it will happen," said Max Stone.

"There is lots of new energy in the town for activism because of the police not listening to all the words we got to say and only going halfway towards the solution. Yes, the Nimbin Community does want pot dealing taken off the streets, but if you let them finish, overwhelmingly, they want the pot dealing taken off the streets and put into a regulated and quality controlled environment." said Max Stone, Polite Force spokesman and long time H*E*M*P* Activist. http://www.NimbinHEMPbar.com/

"When are they going to sit down at the table with us? They treat us like serious criminals in Nimbin these days, operating like the military. Just because you smoke a bit of pot, it's ridiculous in these times when they should be building bridges. We have won the medical and scientific debates. Evidence is piled a mile high that the positives of cannabis outweigh the negatives, as we speak the rest of the world is growing and eating hemp whilst we are still stuck in the dark ages of prohibition."

"Newly formed for this years MardiGrass, the Polite Force will be doing RAIDs (Random Armband ID checks) over the May 2 and 3 weekend to remind everyone that the MardiGrass is a gathering of people who want to change the cannabis laws, not a gathering of people who necessarily want to break the cannabis law," said Max Stone

"Our webcam shows the raids last year on April Fools Day started well before noon and the Polite Force will be there for a friendly re-enactment at a similar time. The musicians who's gig last year had to be cancelled because of the Riot Squad are having another go and we expect them to be set up by 11 am."
